I really wasn't too worried until now. Remember last night when I emailed you from my phone while I was leaving the office? How I mentioned that donations tend to slow down on Friday and over the weekend? Well unfortunately, I was right.

If the gift rates keep dropping (as they often do once the weekend officially hits, especially with Halloween tomorrow), I'm concerned we aren't going to cut it.

Recent polling showed us just outside the margin of error with the momentum on our side. If we hit this fundraising goal, we'll have the resources we need to close the gap completely on time for the election.

But if we don't hit this goal by tomorrow, that margin we worked so hard to tighten is going to get a lot wider at a very risky time in this race.
