Dear John,

Four days remain until Election Day. Here are five things you need to know:

1. Hurricane Zeta hit the Gulf Coast this week, causing major damage and power outages from Louisiana to Virginia, including Atlanta and our northern and central Georgia communities. At least six individuals have died. I urge state leadership to prioritize equity in the recovery process, particularly in the reopening of early voting locations. I am praying for all who have been hurt by this storm.

2. Only four days remain until the end of the 2020 election. Over 3.6 million ballots have already been cast in our state, shattering early voting records and encouraging us to keep pushing for a win. If you have not yet voted, please make a plan to vote right now. It is too late to cast a vote by mail and today is the final day to vote early in Georgia; learn how to cast your vote at iwillvote.com. Then, please check in with all of your friends, family, acquaintances, and neighbors to help them make a plan to vote.

3. This Sunday, November 1, my campaign is hosting socially-distanced events in Cairo and Bainbridge to get out the vote. This election will hinge on voter turnout in communities like ours, so it is critical that our community members know how, where, and when to vote, and why our voices matter. If you are in the area, I hope you can join me:
1:30 PM, Azalea Park, 500 8th Avenue NW, Cairo.
4:00 PM, Bainbridge Mall Parking Area, 1400 E Shotwell Street, Bainbridge.

4. I have posted on my Facebook page new video endorsements from members of the community, which I ask you to watch and share with your friends and family. Click to explore these brief stories.

Taylor Austin, young voter, “I care about this election because of the state that our nation is in": [link removed]

Christopher Cohilas, county commission chair, “Disaster relief funding that will literally help us rebuild this community”: [link removed]

James Pratt, Jr., Albany State professor, “Thinking critically about what public safety can be”: [link removed]

Reverend Dr. Daniel Simmons, pastor, “I cannot count the number of people who called me when they were in trouble”: [link removed]

5. The election on Tuesday will be the most consequential election of our lifetimes. My team is operating at top speed to secure a win, and we are running short on time and funds to make a difference. I humbly ask for your help during this most precarious moment. To help us save our democracy, will you contribute $25, $50, $150, or any amount you can afford?
