Prosecutors constantly fail Black people with their racist, archaic, and
unjust practices. And they're elected officials.

That's why we're taking them on with the first-ever prosecutor directory
to hold them ALL accountable — Winning Justice!

John, did you know that prosecutors wield more power than
almost every other actor in the criminal justice system — and we have the
power to elect them?

This means we have the power to hold prosecutors accountable and vote them
out when they fail to protect Black people! And it’s why Color Of Change
built the nation’s largest directory of each and every local prosecutor —
all 2,300 of them — and where they stand on issues most relevant to Black
communities.

Introducing to you, John: Winning Justice^1 — a directory for
every local prosecutor and district attorney in the country, and a tool to
hold them all accountable.

I’d be lying if I said we don’t desperately need your monthly support to
power this database to hold prosecutors accountable to Black lives. Here’s
how you can help today:

A database of local prosecutors at this scale has never been done before,
and Color Of Change is leading the charge.
We created Winning Justice to increase the transparency of prosecutors’
offices so we are better equipped to end the most unjust practices
prosecutors use to target Black people  — money bail, over-charging,
over-sentencing, over-policing, the drug war, attacking immigrants and
sending our Black children to adult prisons.

The more information we have on prosecutors, the easier it is for members
like you to hold prosecutors accountable to what matters to Black
communities.

John, we need your help to maintain Winning Justice, and
ultimately take it to the next level. Your monthly donation will fund our
efforts to research prosecutors, support outreach, compile the data, and
keep the Winning Justice directory up-to-date — in the lead up to Election
Day and beyond.

Are you in the fight with us? [ [link removed] ]Yes, count me in for a monthly
contribution to tell prosecutors to stop sending Black kids to adult
prison!

Here’s a quick snapshot of prosecutors and why we must take action:

* Prosecutors have been incentivized to drive up conviction rates, which
advances their career more than any other factor
* Prosecutors have the power to stop recommending cash bail as a
condition for incarcerated peoples' release
* 95% of prosecutors are white and 83% are male^2

Here’s the takeaway: prosecutors wield tremendous power, almost all are
elected, and they don’t reflect the gender and racial diversity of the
communities they’re prosecuting.

We can change that, John — but not without the continued
support of people like you. Together, we’ll expand Winning Justice and
continue the fight to end the prosecutorial practices that harm Black
people.
