John —
Tomorrow is Halloween, and I am big fan! It's the kind of holiday where children and families would come together for trick or treating, or friends would come together for a spooky and fun party. Halloween 2020 will be a very different kind of Halloween, as everyone here and across the country finds different ways to enjoy the holidays, whether that is a socially distanced trick-or-treating or Zoom costume parties. I encourage everyone to be safe and follow the CDC and health department guidelines, so that everyone can enjoy the holidays.
With Election Day being so close, I am thinking about President Barack Obama's now legendary words that seem so appropriate this Halloween: Don't Boo! Vote! We are entering the homestretch, and there are so many reasons we can be frustrated, scared, or down trodden. But when I hear stories of folks writing post cards in their homes, doing lit drops on the weekends, and car rallies, I am so excited. We just need to show with our feet and with our ballots that we are not scared, but turning a page on November 3rd.
Happy Halloween, and have a safe holiday!
