“This moment is the most important moment of my life.”

We just released this powerful message from Eva, a Holocaust survivor — please watch and share.

Friend,

This election is bigger than any candidate, it’s about who we are, and who we will be.

That’s the message of our new ad from a 92-year-old Holocaust survivor named Eva, who cast her vote — full of hope that our country can overcome this moment — for Joe Biden.

In the ad, Eva describes this moment as “the most important moment of my life.”

For many of us, it feels similar: a stark choice between fascism and bigotry on one side and the possibility of a truly multiracial democracy on the other.

And as someone who has survived the unimaginable, Eva shares her hope that we can come together to build a country that is truly for all of us.

That future is within reach. We know that Trump and the GOP are willing to try anything to cheat their way to power. But we also know that there are more of us, and we are rising up to build a more just country.

Below Eva’s video you’ll find key ways you can help protect the results of the election, including:

  • 📲  Vote Out Fear shifts to text and call swing and Jewish voters on Nov. 1-3
  • 🗳️  Count Every Vote trainings on messaging and nonviolent action from Bend the Arc and Faith in Public Life on Nov. 5 and 6
  • 📍  Protect the Results map of mobilizations across the country to defend our democracy on Nov. 7 (if it’s within your Shabbat practice)
  • 🛡 Democracy Pod toolkit about how to organize small groups that are aligned on how to keep each other safe

Watch our new ad and help spread the word about what we can do to protect our democracy — right now and in the weeks to come.

As we head into the last Shabbat of this election, it’s more important than ever that we rest, reflect, and prepare for the fight ahead. Now is a time to reach for community — to draw in close with the people who will have our back, just as we will have theirs.

In the days ahead, we know you'll be right there with us, and we are so grateful.

As we prepare, please watch and share Eva’s powerful message.

May you have a restful, meaningful Shabbat,

The Bend the Arc team
