Friend, With so much on the line this election, especially the future of our health care system and the Affordable Care Act, we need to elect as many pro-health care voices as possible to Congress this November. That’s why I’m writing to you about my friend, Jon Hoadley. Jon is currently serving as a state representative in Kalamazoo, Michigan, and running to represent Michigan’s 6th District. This district hasn’t been represented by a Democrat in more than three decades, but thanks to the competitive campaign Jon and his team have built, he has a real opportunity to flip the seat. However, Jon can’t win without the resources he needs to make it across the finish line strong. Join me in supporting Jon by chipping in $6, $25, or whatever you can afford today. Jon’s partner, Kris, lives with multiple sclerosis, so he’s seen firsthand how insurance companies have the power to drive up prescription drug prices and other essential medical services. We can count on Jon to protect our health care, especially those with pre-existing conditions. We also can count on Jon to stand up for families in Michigan and across the country as a member of Congress. Jon’s opponent, on the other hand, authored the very amendment that would have destroyed coverage for millions of Americans with pre-existing conditions and has consistently joined the rest of the Republican Party in its 60+ attempts to repeal the ACA. That’s why it’s so imperative we make sure Jon is elected on November 3. Right now, this race is neck and neck, so you can really make a difference here. Chip in $6 or whatever you can to help ensure Jon’s elected. With so little time before the election, we have to do everything we can to make sure our candidates finish strong.
