John – have you seen the latest misguided and dangerous policy out of the Trump administration?

The Trump administration is reverting billions of dollars from military construction projects to help build an unnecessary wall along the U.S.-Mexico border.

The U.S. Military Academy at West Point will lose funds, as will projects to replace hazardous materials warehouses and keep up maintenance facilities for Navy ships – projects that help ensure our troops are safe, healthy, and able to do their jobs to the best of their abilities.

The administration is also actively working to disrupt military families . A new policy would strip children of U.S. citizens working for the government stationed abroad – including military personnel – of their automatic right to American citizenship.

We should be doing everything we can to help and support those who risk their lives abroad to protect our freedoms stateside. Yet the Trump administration is continually putting our military personnel and their families at a disadvantage, all in the name of disparaging immigrants or keeping people out of the country.
