You've heard lots of voter stories over the last few weeks, and now I want to share mine…

My parents came to this country to give my family and me a better life. That's something I never took for granted. At 18, I became a precinct leader, and at 22, I worked on my first campaign. At the core of those decisions was a desire to stand up for our democracy and for what it means to have a vote. It's what makes this country worth taking action for.

As I write this, we are down to the wire. And while millions of Americans have already cast their vote, millions more have not—some of those cases are the result of active efforts to stop Americans from voting.

It is frustrating and infuriating. But at CAP, we've been working with state and local leaders for months, emphasizing the importance of safe and accessible voting. We’ve provided guidance not only for managing the election, but also for ensuring accurate and secure tallying so that Every. Vote. Counts.

To continue our work, we need your help. There is still time to contribute—and to have your gift doubled by a generous donor. <[link removed]>

And, of course, I hope you have already voted (or that you have a plan to vote)!
