My name is Jess O’Connell. I recently joined Pete’s campaign as a senior adviser. I’ve been working to elect Democrats for nearly 20 years. Most recently, I was the CEO at the DNC and the Executive Director at EMILY’s List where I worked, along with so many others, to elect Democrats up and down the ballot nationwide. And now, I’m proud to join you to help Mayor Pete win.

Thursday night on the debate stage, Pete demonstrated he is the only candidate who is offering a new approach with solutions bold enough to meet our greatest challenges and big enough to bring Americans together to get it done. It’s clear the Washington mindset isn't capable of helping us meet our challenges. That’s why we’re all working so hard to get Pete’s message out.

We’re in a new phase of this campaign. We’re now just a few months from the first actual votes being cast in our presidential primary. Our focus is on doing everything we can to finish on top in the nation’s first caucus in Iowa, then the first in the nation primary in New Hampshire.

This is a big month for us organizationally. We’re right in the middle of launching 20 offices over 20 days in Iowa, and 12 offices -- we’ll be in every county -- in New Hampshire.

With your help, we’re building an organizing movement that can win in the early states and well beyond them. Winning would supercharge Pete’s campaign with momentum and solidify our status as a top contender for the Democratic nomination. That’s what I’m here to make happen, and I could use your support.

We’ve already come so far, and much of that is owed to this community. We’ve grown from a campaign of four to a campaign of over 300 staff and thousands of volunteers, and Pete’s been able to talk about his vision for America in town halls, backyards, rallies, and state fairs, and on cable news and social media.

Putting those organizers on the ground, opening offices, and building infrastructure -- it all takes resources.
