Dear John,
I love trans people laughing. I love trans people whole and nourished. I love when trans people recognize their own divinity. To every trans person reading this, I love YOU.
The confirmation of Amy Coney Barrett is just the most recent assault in a long history of anti-trans violence in the form of legislation, rhetoric, and physical harm. We know our liberation is not determined by who is in a seat of government. Our liberation lies in one another.
This is my love letter to trans people. Join me and write your own. [[link removed]]

Our liberation lies in the way we've carved a space for ourselves when no one made the room for us. Our liberation lies in how fiercely we hold ourselves despite fear. Our liberation lies in every moment we get to be carefree. We must show up for one another in this moment.
In a time of heightened turmoil and grief, we are launching #LoveLettersToTransPeople to ensure trans people feel protected and supported during election season. We’ll release love letters over the next few weeks leading up to Trans Day of Remembrance on November 20th, a day of mourning and resilience for our community.
A love letter brings joy and comfort to both the writer and the receiver. And we know that love and liberation go hand in hand. Write a love letter by clicking here. [[link removed]] Tell your friends on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram to write their own, too by sharing our graphic.
In solidarity,
Mariah and the TLC team
