The South is up for grabs. A political shift is underway

The New York Times reports that "a political shift is underway in the South that could have a lasting impact well past this election."

Three Senate seats CNN says Democrats are most likely to flip in this election are in the Deep South: in North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia.

NBC News reports "Despite the political convention that Republicans hold a secure grip on the South, Democratic candidates are polling competitively in North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia..."

With the polls looking closer than ever, we have to act with urgency. Invest in a more progressive South by sending a donation directly to top Democratic Senate candidates today.

Once-safe Republican seats in the South are up for grabs -- and that shift is making Republicans nervous. The Center for Responsive Politics reports that Mitch McConnell's Super Pac has spent $200 million on the 2020 election. And right-wing billionaire Sheldon Adelson and his wife have spent over $100 million on Republican candidates.

Every dollar we chip in now could make the difference between the status quo, and actual progress.

These Southern Senate candidates need our support to flip red Senate seats blue:

Jaime Harrison (SC-Sen) is in a dead-heat race against Republican Senator Lindsey Graham, a top Trump enabler. Jaime overcame poverty and went on to become a teacher after attending Yale and Georgetown Law.

Rev. Dr. Raphael Warnock (GA-Sen) is the Senior Pastor at Ebenezer Baptist Church in Atlanta, the former pulpit of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. He’s leading in polling and fundraising amongst a pack of 21 opponents in a special election to unseat incumbent Republican Sen. Kelly Loeffler, the wealthiest U.S. Senator. Jon Ossoff (GA-Sen) is in a tight, toss-up race to defeat an early supporter of Trump, incumbent Republican Sen. David Perdue.

Cal Cunningham (NC-Sen) is the veteran ahead in polling of Republican Sen. Thom Tillis, one of the most vulnerable Republicans up for re-election in 2020.

Mike Espy (MS-Sen) was the first Black Secretary of the Department of Agriculture. He’s running to defeat incumbent Republican Sen. Cindy Hyde-Smith, who has made jokes about public hangings. This is a razor-thin race with Espy only 1 point behind Hyde-Smith.

Rush a donation directly to their campaigns now, so we can flip the Senate, protect health care, and usher in a new era progressive representation in the American South.

Thanks for being a bold progressive.
