Hi — I wanted to reach out and tell you a little about my good friend Tina Smith, who is running for re-election to the U.S. Senate from Minnesota.
While serving alongside Tina, I’ve seen firsthand how deeply she cares about the issues affecting Minnesotans and how tirelessly she fights for them in Congress. She’s exactly the kind of leader we need in the Senate, but she’s facing a tough re-election battle in Minnesota.
After Donald Trump lost the state by just 1.5 points in 2016, he’s made flipping it a top priority. Trump has visited Minnesota to rally his base and publicly attack Tina so many times, it’s hard to keep track. And folks, we have to help Tina — a recent poll shows Tina’s lead has dropped to just one point.
With the Affordable Care Act, Roe v. Wade , and so much more on the line, it’s all the more critical we flip the Senate and defeat Donald Trump — we can’t do that without Tina, and she needs our help.
