When I was a kid growing up in a housing project in Savannah, Georgia, I never thought I'd be running for Senate. But my parents always taught my siblings and me the value of hard work - and with their love and support, I became the first member of my family to graduate from college. Now, I'm blessed to serve as senior pastor at Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s church.

This gets at the heart of why I'm running: The opportunities that made my journey possible - from Kayton Homes to Dr. King's pulpit - are increasingly out of reach for far too many, and I'm fighting to change that.

With early voting already underway, our people-powered campaign is surging in the polls - and The Washington Post says winning in Georgia is the key to Democrats taking back the Senate.

That's why my Republican opponent is spending over $20 million of her own fortune to buy this seat, and why GOP dark-money groups are flooding this race with millions in attack ads. McConnell's Republican majority has never been more vulnerable, but I need your help to finish the fight:

We set a goal to raise $300,000 - exactly what we need to stay the course, win this race and take back the Senate. But with just hours to go until our crucial midnight deadline, we're still falling incredibly short, and there's no way we can get back on track without you.
