In 2018, Mike Espy came so close to flipping Mississippi’s Senate seat -- in 2020, he’ll do it.

A new poll has him just 1% -- one percent! -- apart from GOP Senator Cindy Hyde-Smith. A race that has been rated securely as “safe Republican” for months is suddenly facing a real shakeup, especially because the same polling group that ran this poll had Senator Hyde-Smith up 24 points back in March.

Expanding the map of Senate wins must include expanding to parts of the South like Mississippi, where folks are desperate for real progress and not the same conservative politics that only supports the richest, not all Mississippi families.
