John,
In another Walmart outrage, a new groundbreaking insider story from Quartz provides evidence of a $2.6 billion tax dodging scheme by Walmart.[1]
You know, the biggest and greediest company in the world that pays unlivable wages. The company that heavily (and successfully) lobbied Congress to pass the Trump-GOP tax scam to cut its tax rate by 40% — which saved it $2.2 billion in the first year. The company that then laid off 10% of its Sams Club employees — 10,000 workers!!![2]
This week, Americans for Tax Fairness called on the powerful House Ways and Means Committee to investigate Walmart and demand it pays its fair share of taxes.
Help us recover up to $2.6 billion from Walmart’s tax dodging.
Pitch in $2.60 or $26 today to hold Walmart accountable for their likely $2.6 billion tax dodging scheme, and help us fight for a tax system that requires the rich and corporations to pay their fair share!

In a 2015 report titled “The Walmart Web: How the world’s biggest corporation secretly uses tax havens to dodge taxes,” Americans for Tax Fairness outlined how Walmart, in an octopus-like manner, places assets in tax havens around the world where it has no retail stores. Our report estimated that more than one-third of Walmart’s then $205 billion in assets were located in shell companies in tax havens.[3]
This latest report by Quartz provides new evidence of how far Walmart is willing to go to avoid paying what it owes in taxes.
Donate $2.60 or $26 today to demand an immediate investigation into Walmart’s likely $2.6 billion tax dodging scheme.
At a time when corporations and their wealthy CEOs keep getting richer and the president and congressional Republicans keep looking for ways to further-enrich the top 1%, it’s critical that Congress act to demand Walmart and all large corporations pay their fair share in taxes.
Thank you,
