Friend,
I met Mad through politics in 1978 while working on a campaign. We were both newly elected Abington Rockledge Democratic Committee members, still in our teens. I didn’t know then that this intelligent woman who was so passionate about the environment, healthcare and human rights would become my wife. But if someone told me then that Madeleine would someday be the congresswoman for our area, I would have said:
“Great!”
I admire that she decided to enter the political arena — to put herself out there to better advance her values of honesty, transparency, and decency — while advocating for things she has consistently been passionate about: human rights, women's rights, the environment, healthcare, and more recently the opioid crisis and gun violence epidemic.
Mad continues to be the leader we need in Congress. And in her leadership position with the DCCC, she supports so many other Democrats in their elections, too.
We are (finally!) down to the wire of this very important election. If you're able to support Mad by donating to her Get Out The Vote Fund, all of us with Team Dean would be incredibly grateful in this fight for her re-election.
So, if you're ready to join me in making sure we keep PA-04 blue, please make a contribution of any size.
Thank you so much for your generosity and supporting Mad!
P.J. Cunnane
(Mad's husband)
