Senator Chris Murphy here. I met the founders of March For Our Lives in the days after the tragic shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School and have been honored to work with them ever since.

I remember thinking right before they organized the largest protest against gun violence in our nation's history that if politicians thought they would stop after that march was over, they were wrong. Not only have they kept going, but they have gotten stronger since.
In 2018, March For Our Lives organized and helped usher in a Congress that pledged to make passing universal background checks a priority. Now they are looking to finish the job by helping drive the largest youth voter turnout ever.
But the truth is, they need our help. We need to help them turn out young people if we are going to elect enough officials who are willing to change our gun laws, and there is no organization better positioned to do that than March For Our Lives. In this last critical week before the election, they are prioritizing reaching those whose voices and votes we desperately need. MFOL youth organizers are reaching out to other young voters in key states where the youth vote can affect the electoral outcome, and to communities who are disproportionately impacted by gun violence. So please, support their work with a contribution of any amount you can afford:
Every single donation, every call you make, every time you make your voice heard makes a difference in the campaign to change our gun laws. But if we are finally going to get the job done and save lives, it will require building a national infrastructure on our side that is stronger than that of the gun lobby.
March For Our Lives is a critical piece of the infrastructure -- they are leading the fight to convince our elected officials that there is a price to pay for siding with the gun lobby -- that they will turn out the voters who want to see changes in our gun laws.
But they cannot do that alone, so I am asking if you can make a contribution to support their work:
I want to end on a note of thanks. Thank you for the work you've done and the support you've shown this movement. The actions that you've taken with March For Our Lives in the past two years helped us elect more gun safety candidates to the House in 2018, and with your support, we can do it again in 2020. And if you haven't made your voting plan yet, they can help you do that, too.
Every best wish,
Senator Chris Murphy
