Good news: “A federal judge Tuesday rejected the Justice Department’s bid to make the U.S. government the defendant in a defamation lawsuit brought by a woman who says President Trump raped her decades ago, paving the way for the case to again proceed,” the Washington Post reports.
Attorney General Bill Barr’s attempt at making Trump out to be a government employee and get him out of being tried for his crimes as an individual may have failed -- but we can only expect Barr will find another corrupt pursuit towards which to apply your tax dollars soon enough.
Over 2,000 former Justice Department officials have already called on Bill Barr to resign. So have Senator Elizabeth Warren and former Obama AG Eric Holder, who declared that Barr’s actions reflect “the absolute legal and moral bankruptcy of this Attorney General.”
But somehow, 43% of voters approve of the way Trump is handling crime and criminal justice reform. We must remove this unlawful president from the Oval Office on November 3 -- but first, we need to get rid of his top lawyer.
