We need Democrats to re-take the Senate if we want a Biden administration to protect and expand Social Security, improve Medicare, or lower prescription drug prices. To do that, we need to flip 4 Republican seats and hold the rest. Iowa and Michigan are critical states to ensure that Biden-Harris win, and that Democrats win the Senate, and we can pry the gavel from Mitch McConnell’s cruel hands.
We have a chance to flip two states that Trump won in 2016 and win two critical Senate seats at the same time.
In Iowa, progressive Democrat and Social Security champion Theresa Greenfield is running neck-and-neck with Joni Ernst who notoriously called for cutting Social Security “behind closed doors so we’re not being scrutinized.” We can flip this seat.
And, in Michigan, Gary Peters has a narrow lead over his Republican challenger in a must-win race if Democrats are going to win back control of the U.S. Senate. We must hold this seat.
