Last night, three Republican justices issued an opinion stating that
legally cast mail-in ballots that arrive after Election Day in
Pennsylvania could still be thrown out if necessary to help Trump win.
Now it's absolutely critical that voters get the message TODAY that they
need to drop off their ballots or vote on Election Day IN PERSON to
guarantee that the Supreme Court won't toss out their ballots.
Common Dreams is using every resource at our disposal to alert voters
about all the latest rule changes and voter-suppression threats.

It's bad enough that Trump and the Supreme Court are creating such
confusion and chaos. But most corporate media are making it worse by
misreporting the Supreme Court's ruling as a victory for voting rights,
since the Court didn't explicitly overrule a Pennsylvania state court
decision saying that late-arriving ballots should be counted.
In fact, the statement signed by Justices Alito, Thomas, and Gorsuch is
even more treacherous.
They're saying that they might still throw out Pennsylvania ballots
postmarked by Election Day, but they won't tell voters about it until
after it's too late to vote in person. If Brett Kavanaugh and Amy Coney
Barrett join them as expected, they would have five votes to toss out as
many ballots as they need to steal the election for Trump.
