John, we have some great news! Alejandra was released late last week after almost two years in detention.
Thanks to both your support and continuous international advocacy efforts, a court ordered the USA government to halt her deportation, and she was finally released on parole last Friday after her lawyers successfully argued that her prolonged detention violated the USA Constitution.
See the moment Alejandra went free and share the good news with your friends!

Alejandra’s journey isn’t over yet, and we will continue to support her asylum claim. For that reason her case file will remain open.
Alejandra’s sponsor has reported that she is relaxing, spending time with her friends, hanging out by the pool, having BBQs and sleeping a lot.
She is eager to pick her trans rights work back up – so you’ll be hearing from her soon!
Thanks so much for your support. We literally could not do this without you.
