Nearly 71 million Americans have already cast their ballots for this election, and NBC News is reporting that Democrats have a clear edge in early voting.
Current polling favors our fight to defeat Donald Trump, take back the Senate, and protect our House majority in just five days. But FiveThirtyEight’s Nate Silver is warning us to stay cautious, stating that “Republicans could make up for [the Democratic lead] with a big turnout on November 3, since 60% of them are planning to cast a ballot on Election Day -- that should make the margin a lot closer.”
Donald Trump has consistently said that the only way he loses this election is if it's rigged -- and Speaker Pelosi has warned us we can’t give him any chances to contest this election. Trump could still use the current Republican delegate majority in the House to hand himself another four years in power if the results are close.
Defeating Donald Trump won’t end Trumpism. We need to elect new progressive leaders up and down the ballot who will defend our voting rights, fight for reproductive justice, expand affordable health care, and work for American families.
