John,

We could see the split in the Democratic Party on Thursday night as Senators Sanders and Warren defended Medicare-for-All, corporate candidates offered their own “Medicare-for-______” insurance industry-backed plans, and Senator Klobuchar attempted to court a mythical moderate who wants nothing done. Seeing our values on stage reminded us why we are so proud to be campaigning in San Francisco to build the progressive voting bloc within the Democratic Party.

While Pelosi has three decades as the incumbent with support of the party machine and industry donors, we are reaching more people on the ground, and reaching more and more people online. We’re also gaining momentum. Grassroots donors are investing big to help us organize San Francisco for our shared values, including Medicare-for-All, free public college, and the Green New Deal. With just a couple weeks to our Sept. 30 finance reporting deadline, we expect to reach 5,000 financial supporters in the next few days. Only 130 new donors to go!

We’re seeing incredible support for our campaign throughout the city, and a recent survey by our digital team confirmed that fewer than half of hard core Democrats in SF are presently planning to vote for Pelosi. We’ve got to get word of our campaign to hundreds of thousands of San Francisco voters and thanks to you we are going to do it.

In our three-month run in 2018, we responded to calls for a serious and sustained Congressional campaign representing San Francisco’s progressive movement and values. We won nearly 18,000 votes and that’s why we’re running today. San Francisco’s progressive voters are a bloc to rival the corporate Democrats and Republicans and it’s time to act like it again.

It is simply not right that San Francisco has a representative who believes their job as Speaker of the House is to stymie progress on gun legislation, impeaching Trump, and social welfare expansion, while funding the Trump-Pelosi concentration camps.

San Franciscans are ready for change—we received more votes in the 2018 primary than AOC. However, San Francisco is a privileged city with very high voter turnout. That means our campaign must reach hundreds of thousands of voters over the next 14 months to win our progressive voice in Congress. We have to make the top-two, and we have to engage the electorate for the long run. Thanks to our talented volunteer and staff teams, we are reaching more San Franciscans daily than Pelosi and the other Republican and Democratic Party candidates put together. I am running to grow the progressive bloc of the Democratic Party and as we saw last night, progressives are winning. Our goal is to win in CA-12.

Donate to help us build our team and canvass hundreds of thousands of San Francisco voters.

We are reaching twice as many people online while our streets teams host organizing actions daily. The chart above is Facebook page Insights for the past week for six official candidates in CA-12, where a March primary will determine which two, regardless of party, advance to the November election.

Please find and follow the campaign on Facebook and Twitter if you haven't by clicking the logos below—and let us know if you would like to join our digital outreach teams.

Thank you for your support and encouragement in this critical campaign! We couldn't do it without you and the thousands of others fueling our efforts.
