The UK is a critical leader in the fight against malaria - both financially from the UK Government and through the nation’s contribution to science and innovation. Now, this vital commitment is under review.
The UK Government must continue its leadership and investment in the fight to end malaria, so millions do not have their lives cut short.
20 scientists, business leaders, malaria survivors and champions added their names to a letter to the editor of The Times urging the UK Government to renew their financial commitment to tackling malaria

** Explorer Saray Khumalo joins our team of Special Ambassadors!

We’re thrilled to welcome South African explorer Saray Khumalo to our family of Special Ambassadors. A world-class mountaineer and adventurer with personal experience of malaria, Saray is the first black African woman to reach the South Pole and summit of Mount Everest. Saray started climbing in 2012 and has since taken on the extraordinary challenge of the ‘Explorers Grand Slam’.
Saray has already made a significant impact through her support of the Zero Malaria ‘Bigger Picture’ campaign sharing the powerful message that as we fight Covid, we also need to remain committed to fighting malaria.

The Decade of Health campaign has launched showing how Britain is healthier, stronger and safer when we work together to tackle some of the world’s most biggest health challenges – whether that be pandemics or treatable diseases like malaria.
In this next decade we know we can do so much to beat the world’s oldest and deadliest foe, but only if we knuckle down and invest in science and innovation. If we don’t progress is likely to stall, and young children and pregnant women will continue to be put at risk.
But as this video explains – if we can imagine it, we can achieve it.
