A Bipartisan Moment on 9/11

On Wednesday, I joined members of Congress from both parties for a moment of silence on the Capitol steps to remember the thousands of lives taken too soon on September 11, 2001. We will never forget the lives lost and the brave first responders who rushed to the scene. May God Bless the United States of America.

Vice President Pence

It was great to see Vice President Pence and President Donald Trump this week! They are both working so hard for the American people. I'm honored to serve alongside them.

Casework Highlight

A constituent contacted our office because he had paid expedited processing fees to receive his passport before his family left on an international trip. He had not received his passport and was not able to get any additional information from the National Passport Servicing Center. Our office reached out to the National Passport Servicing Center and stressed the time-sensitive nature of getting the issue resolved, and his passport was sent to him via overnight mail, right in time for his trip.

I understand people want us to do something regarding mass violence in America. Let’s work together to do something that actually has a chance of becoming law and will actually address mass shootings without taking away people’s Second Amendment rights without due process.

Suicide Prevention Month

September is Suicide Prevention Month. For Arizona's Veterans, Military, and families, Be Connected offers help and support by connecting Arizona’s servicemembers, veterans, and their families to the right resources at the right time. Whether you need help and support for you or your family or whether you are helping someone else, this service is available to you statewide. The Be Connected support line is available to everyone: 1-866-4AZ-VETS (429-8387) or online at www.beconnectedaz.org.

May God continue to bless you and our great Nation!

Sincerely,

Congresswoman Debbie Lesko
