We have 6 days until the most important election of our lifetimes. As you can see in the pictures above, millions of people are already voting, and are currently standing in line so they can get their votes turned in! Most states aren't like Colorado, so these voters have to jump through hoops to make sure they can exercise their constitutional right.
As of this writing, more than 66 million ballots and counting have already been cast early nationwide -- thanks to these tireless voters we are so grateful to, who have waited in lines, rain or shine, often for hours! Here, we are fortunate that all you have to do is drop your ballot off at the closest 24 hour ballot drop-off location.

Voting is your constitutional right. But this right didn't come easy. As a reminder:
- 1890: Wyoming becomes the first state in the country to grant women the right to vote. Before then, only white men could vote.
- 1920: The historic 19th Amendment to the US constitution prohibited states from denying citizens the right to vote based on sex. While Black men got the right to vote in 1870 and Black women in 1920, discriminatory Jim Crow-era voting policies and voter intimidation kept many black Americans from the polls in the American South.
- 1965: Congress passes the historic Voting Rights Act, removing discriminatory barriers that kept many people of color from voting.
- 1971: The voting age is lowered from 21 to 18.
Here in Colorado, voting is easy and convenient.
People like John Lewis, MLK, Nannie Helen Burroughs fought for this right -- will you exercise it?

I really prefer to vote in person. How do I do that?
Ah, old school huh? No problem!
- You can vote early and avoid the line that you'd likely encounter on Election Day! You can find your closest voting location by Clicking here or going to https://www.sos.state.co.us/pubs/elections/VIP.html! After you enter your address, the hours where you can vote will pop up! The deadline to either vote in person or drop off your ballot is Tuesday, November 3 at 7:00 PM MT!
- Do consider that we are still in the middle of a pandemic. The easiest and most convenient way to get your ballot turned in while also protecting yourself and your community is to fill out your ballot at home, and drop it in a dropbox!

Join the Elbow Bumpers Club!
|
What's the Elbow Bumpers Club (formerly known as the High Fivers Club), you ask? It started with a simple idea: There are nearly 1.2 million registered Democrats in Colorado -- what if every single one of them gave just $5 a month to the Colorado Democratic Party (CDP)?
Answer: The CDP would be the best-funded state party in the country -- with zero dollars from corporate PACs and plenty for flipping red seats to blue!
