Bad news: Trump is running Facebook ads featuring photos of Joe Biden using an earpiece during the presidential debate, even though he never wore one. The bad photoshop job is Trump's most recent attempt at making Biden seem senile and unfit for office.

The good news is that Biden is still ahead nationally -- and he has even begun to fight Trump in deep-red Republican strongholds like Georgia.

But we can't be so distracted by hopes for a sweeping victory that we allow crucial swing states to slip through our fingers. The other ads Trump is running on Facebook are really despicable -- some even include pictures of bottles labeled "Coronavirus Vaccine," even though Trump's administration has so far produced no such thing.

If Trump controls the narrative on social media, he'll win the election. We need to push back by boosting the candidates and campaigns that are key to winning a progressive majority in our government -- but right now, we're $3,490 short of our goal.

You know how much Facebook shapes people's opinions. If we don't answer Trump's lies with the truth, we could be in for four more years of fake news.
