I am emailing you from my home in Colorado where we are currently suffocating from 5 massive wildfires on all sides of our state. My throat hurts and my voice is going hoarse, but I am still on the phones calling voters. Because amidst the anxiety and pain I feel from climate devastation, I have never felt more determined to make change happen for our country.

All eyes are on the presidential race, and while we cannot accomplish our ultimate goals without an ally in the White House, don’t let Trump distract you from the tireless fight for justice down the ballot. We are working to overhaul the system and that does not end with a Democratic president — that’s how it begins.
