For the last 49 years, Peace Over Violence has produced an annual fundraising event that brings together those who have impacted our mission, the lives of survivors and our wider community in innovative, compassionate and groundbreaking ways. These events have shed a light on the impact of sexual and domestic violence on individuals, families and communities. The thoughtful and trauma-informed process behind producing our events has inspired change and community-building among our sister organizations. The most valuable part of these events is the positive impact they have on the thousands of survivors who come through POV’s doors each year; In 2019, the agency reached more than 28,000 people with our services and programs, and millions worldwide with violence prevention messages through our Denim Day Campaign.
This Friday, October 30, we are launching our first-ever Evening Over Violence Virtual Series. It is our absolute honor to recognize three transformative leaders and brave space builders at this event.
