“The most impactful day of my life…”
That’s what Leah Hebert said after Andrew passed legislation they worked on together.
I think we all agree, it is vital that when women face harassment, that they are heard and they are believed.
Friend, I ask that if you watch anything today, take 3 minutes and watch Leah’s story:
One of the privileges of working on Andrew’s campaign has been the opportunity to sit down and talk with people whose lives Andrew has touched in just his first two years in the Senate. I had heard about Leah, her work fighting sexual harassment, and read stories about her experience. But when I had the opportunity to meet her, I learned what Andrew has known for years -- Leah, and the women she works with are not just survivors, they are brave strong people changing the workplace for everyone.
Throughout this campaign, we have asked you to volunteer and donate. Today I want to ask you to do something different. I ask that you join Leah and the other women working with Andrew as they transform the landscape for all workers. You can sign-up and stay up-to-date with the work they do at www.harassmentfreealbany.com.
Also, if you were as moved as I was listening to Leah’s story, I ask you to amplify her voice and her work and share her story across your platforms. At the end of the day, this is why we support Andrew. Because he is the kind of leader we can depend on and as Leah says “he can work across the aisle to do what’s right for people all over Brooklyn and all over New York.”
In solidarity,
