Hello, Friends —
My staff and I have been closely monitoring the path of Hurricane Zeta.
While it appears that Zeta will pass to our west, it will still bring rain and higher-than-normal winds. Additionally, a hurricane’s track can change very quickly, so please stay prepared.
A Storm Surge Warning is in effect for much of our area, reaching from the mouth of the Atchafalaya River to Navarre, as well as for Lake Borgne, Lake Pontchartrain, Pensacola Bay, and Mobile Bay.
A Tropical Storm Warning is in also in effect, extending from the Mississippi/Alabama border to the Walton/Bay County Line in Florida.
Visit the National Hurricane Center and NOAA for more information on the hurricane.
