I am outraged that Judge Barrett was sworn on to the Supreme Court earlier this week — just eight days before Election Day — after millions of Americans had already voted.

Not only does her presence on the Court likely put the health care of countless Americans at risk and undo critical civil rights protections, but Republicans broke the rules that they invented in 2016 to ram through her confirmation.

It’s not hard to see why Mitch McConnell, Lindsey Graham, and Donald Trump pushed Barrett's confirmation through so recklessly. The Court is scheduled to hear a case on November 10 in which the Trump administration and Republican Attorneys General ask the Court to overturn the Affordable Care Act.
