An undercover investigation by Animal Outlook at Dick Van Dam Dairy, a Dairy
Farmers of America supplier, documented egregious abuse against cows and calves.
The Animal Legal Defense Fund responded by filing a lawsuit against the dairy,
its owners, and supervisors — but we need your help to stop this cruelty. Dairy
Farmers of America products include the DairyPure and TruMoo brands sold at
Target stores nationwide. Send a message urging Target executives to remove these products from its store

At the end of September, Governor Newsom signed the California Ecosystems Protection Act (AB 1788) into law
[[link removed]] , significantly limiting the use of super-toxic rat poisons to protect the
state’s native wildlife from unnecessary suffering and death.

Tofurky Files First Amendment Challenge Against Louisiana Label Censorship Law

The Good Food Institute and Animal Legal Defense Fund filed a lawsuit on behalf of Tofurky challenging a Louisiana law intended to
disadvantage plant-based products
[[link removed]] . The law would impose fines of up to $500 per day for every plant-based meat
product marketed or sold with terms like “burger” and “sausage” on their labels.
