Something is happening in Texas.

As of right now, Texans have already cast 90.8 percent of their total votes cast in 2016 and there is still early voting happening in the state before Election Day.

We love to see record turnout, but we must continue to fight for every single vote until Democrats win back the Texas House and stop the gerrymandering of a projected 39 congressional seats for the next decade.

Ignore the turnout. Ignore the polls. Ignore the pundits. Our work is not done until Democrats have won back power in key state legislative chambers across the Sun Belt like the Texas House to stop the gerrymandering and voter suppression of the future.

Earlier this week, Republicans rammed through the confirmation of a new Supreme Court justice. It’s no secret: They have leveraged their power to distort our democracy and cement their control and conservative policies.
