Hi John,

Since day one, the Trump administration has unleashed an unprecedented set of attacks against women's health, rights, and economic security—undoing decades of progress toward gender equality.

Daily attacks on women's access to health care and economic security have exacted disproportionate harm on the most underserved, particularly Black, Latina, Indigenous, Asian American, young, disabled, low-income, immigrant, and LGBTQ women.

Over the past four years, the Women's Initiative at CAP has tracked the Trump administration's harms to women and their families through a policy agenda steeped in misogyny, racism, and the utter failure to respond to the coronavirus crisis. We've relentlessly fought back against efforts that would roll back the Affordable Care Act, dismantle Roe v. Wade, weaken protections against sexual assault, threaten survivors' safety, undo equal pay reforms, and more.

In case you missed it, here's a catalogue of the Trump administration’s harms to women and their families.

We've called out <[link removed]> every misogynistic attack and fought every effort <[link removed]> by conservatives on the bench and in the legislature to take away reproductive freedom. We've also developed an agenda <[link removed]> that would undo the Trump administration’s harmful actions and center women in proactive policy solutions to allow them and their families to thrive.

LEARN <[link removed]> Our groundbreaking analysis <[link removed]> revealed that the COVID-19-induced economic recession is the first on record to cost women more jobs than men—leading to a "she-cession" that could have severe long-term consequences for women's careers and economic security. Between February and April, women lost more than 2 million more jobs than men, and women of color continue to be left further behind by the recovery than white women.

READ <[link removed]> Our new issue brief, "Women Have Paid the Price for Trump's Regulatory Agenda," <[link removed]> details dozens of regulations that this administration has issued that cost women billions of dollars and threaten our health, rights, and progress. This analysis is just the tip of the iceberg in revealing the administration's fundamental disregard for women.

Thank you for your support these past four years. We’ll never stop fighting for women and their futures—no matter what.

In solidarity,

Shilpa Phadke
