NPH Electoral Endorsements

The election is less than a week away and we have the opportunity to move forward several initiatives in the San Francisco Bay Area and statewide. A number of our NPH endorsed measures are proving to be competitive down to the end, including Prop 15, which will provide between $6.4 billion to $11.5 billion in additional funding to local schools and governments.

We all play a role in moving these measures forward. We hope you will join us in casting your vote and your voice on the critical measures that appear on your ballots. We invite you to review NPH's official electoral endorsements as a resource to learn more about the measures that directly impact our communities.

"The Road Ahead" is Now Available!

The Road Ahead cover

We did it! Last week the Association of Bay Area Governments (ABAG) approved option 8A, a Bay Area housing plan that is data-driven and focuses on prosperity, inclusion, and racial equity by building housing closer to jobs and areas of opportunity. This plan is in response to the Regional Housing Needs Assessment (RHNA), a representation of future housing needs for all income levels of a jurisdiction (city or unincorporated county) and is a requirement of California State housing law.

Have you had a chance to read our most recent regional paper? The NPH regional paper, "The Road Ahead: A 21st Century Housing Strategy for the San Francisco Bay Area," says more about NPH's RHNA recommendations and additional bold, regional strategies to advance a comprehensive regional strategy. In the midst of regional and national conversations around how to respond to and recover from COVID-19 and address racial equity in housing, NPH’s regional paper examines the intersection of housing, racial justice, public health.

You can also check out the archive of CIVICS 101, which kicked off live on IGTV and is available for replay on Instagram and YouTube! Jennifer Johns and RyanNicole introduce this year's edition CIVICS 101 with a discussion on artists and housing justice. In 2018, Jennifer Johns, Bay Area musician, activist, and founder of The F.U.N.
