It’s been a busy few days back in Washington from our August district work period. We’re working hard to address some of the important issues that I was able to discuss with folks over the summer. Our conversations really do help inform my decisions as your representative.

But right now, I have to do my least favorite part of this job: Ask you to contribute to my extremely competitive re-election campaign.

John, I refuse to spend all day on the phone asking people for money, and I certainly won’t accept a dime from corporate PACs. But that makes emails like these all the more important.

We have a big FEC fundraising deadline coming up at the end of this month, after which, our fundraising numbers will become public. Campaigns are expensive, and this is one of the top races in the country, so we can’t show any signs of weakness once our fundraising numbers are reported.

Will you consider contributing a small donation of just $3 or more to my re-election campaign so we can stay focused on the issues that matter most to Mainers?
