Big banks are choking the Amazon to death.

Every day, ancient magical trees are slashed or burnt down to make way for
hectares of soybean farms. And every day, HSBC, BlackRock, and AXA pour
more cash into the companies holding the chainsaws.

You can stop the destruction: tomorrow the world’s biggest banks are
meeting in Paris. It’s a huge PR stunt designed to convince investors that
these banks are climate-friendly.

And now picture this: while hundreds of attendees queue to get in, a
heartbreaking video of the Amazon burning is rolling on billboards right
outside the event, linking it directly to the likes of HSBC and co.

Any hope of burying their Amazon-killing investments will be slashed --
and they’ll have no choice but to pull their money from soya
deforestation. But we can’t do this without you.

Indigenous communities have nurtured the Amazon for thousands of years.
They’re paying for these investment deals with their lives. Big business
has stolen their way of life, their rivers, their animals, and their
forests.

And it’s getting worse. Agriculture’s biggest bullies are plundering this
life-giving rainforest to make soy to produce ever more cheap meat --
while bankers thousands of miles away in cushty offices are underwriting
this rampant destruction.

We’ve tried to play nice with these banks. But after months of polite
emails and warm words about deforestation-free policies, we need to dial
up the heat and go public.

That starts this Thursday -- we’ll name and shame them in front of the
world -- and won’t let up until they kill these deadly soy investments.
