Hi Folks –

One of the most important issues in the spotlight this year is the safety of our communities in relation to law enforcement.

The role of police officers is centered on protecting lives and ensuring our communities are safe. It’s important that they have the critical resources needed to do their jobs.

That’s why, as a member of the Appropriations Committee, I have secured funding in cities like Mission, Texas for body-worn cameras to give police departments the tools needed to improve officer and community safety as well as increase mutual trust.

It’s important that we enhance transparency, promote accountability and advance public safety for law enforcement in every community.
