Hi friend --
“We’re not going to control the pandemic,” White House chief of staff Mark Meadows informed CNN on Sunday.
The alarming announcement that the US has given up on trying to control the spread of COVID-19 comes on the heels of us hitting the highest daily number of new cases since the pandemic began (82,900, according to the Washington Post).
The leaders of our country are turning their backs on a burning building. 225,000 Americans have already died from the virus, and the University of Washington’s projections point to that number reaching 318,000 by January 1st, 2021.
The Trump administration has done next to nothing to contain COVID thus far, but dropping all pretense in the name of a vaccine that doesn’t even exist yet is utterly despicable. That’s why we’re reaching out to you now. We need to make sure those in government know how we feel about their disturbing negligence, and stand up for the health of all Americans. Tell us:
Do you think the US should give up on trying to control the pandemic?
