We need your help to stop a new proposal that puts more than 100 threatened and
endangered species at risk from the oil industry! Friend of Defenders:
It's not too late to stop the Forest Service's giveaway to Big Oil!
The Forest Service's new proposals make it much easier for oil and gas interests
to drill on public lands - and make it much harder for people like you and me to
stop them. Now, over 100 plant and animal species could be impacted - all for
the sake of private industry profits.
Before time runs out, add your signature: Tell the Forest Service not to open up
even more oil and gas drilling on public lands while gutting public
transparency!

Dear Defender,
We need your help to stop a new proposal that puts more than 100 threatened and
endangered species at risk from the oil industry!
The Forest Service has proposed new regulations that make it much easier for oil and gas interests to drill on public lands and make it much harder for people like you and me to stop them .
This is the latest step in the administration’s campaign to give away our
nation’s natural treasures to their friends in private industries. Speak out
against this reckless proposal before they cut the public out altogether!
Tell the Forest Service to abandon their plans to open up even more oil and gas
drilling on public lands and to gut public transparency!

A recent analysis by Defenders found that over 100 plant and animal species could be directly affected by the Forest
Service’s proposed relaxed oil and gas rule. These include the Mexican spotted owl, pagosa skyrocket, Preble’s meadow
jumping mouse, and the Gunnison sage grouse just to name a few.
The new rule also cuts the public out of the process of having input on new oil
and gas leases and would remove checks and balances designed to stop leases that
put our environment at risk. No transparency, no accountability – just even greater profits for Big Oil, at
the cost of imperiled animals’ lives.
Say no to the Forest Service’s attempt to turn over even more public land to Big
Oil while cutting us out of the process. Add your signature now!

your help to turn back this no-holds-barred assault on nature!
We can’t let Big Oil cause even greater harm to the wildlife we love. Please
take a moment to voice your opposition to this greed-driven attack on wildlife
and wild lands today!
STOP BIG OIL’S ASSAULT ON WILDLIFE
