As of this past weekend, more than a million votes have already been cast in person or by absentee ballot in the Commonwealth -- including mine. Last week, I voted early in-person at the Kentucky Center for African American Heritage and I was joined by my son and my grandson, which was very special for me.

One million votes sounds great, but we need everyone . So I’m writing today to urge you to vote early if you haven’t already. If you have an absentee ballot, take it to a ballot drop-box today . If, like me, you love the experience of casting your vote in person, I encourage you to take advantage of the unprecedented access we have been given here in Kentucky to vote early during this last week. I’m optimistic about where we are, but we can’t take our foot off the gas. We can take back the White House and Senate and grow our majorities in the U.S. House of Representatives and in Frankfort. We have to win, but it’s what those victories will translate into that truly matters. I, for one, am looking forward to having a President that will begin to close the great divide we are in as a nation -- and a Senate that will stop blocking everything from COVID relief and economic recovery measures, to racial justice, expanded health care access, combating climate change, and so much more. I’m fired up and I’m sure you are too. It’s time to play offense.
