Join us for a webinar on the future of refugee resettlement.
Please join us, Wednesday, October 28th at 2:00 PM EST for a webinar that will examine
how to rebuild the refugee resettlement program after the election. You can visit
our webinar registration page [[link removed]]

Rebuilding Refugee Resettlement during the Next Four Years
This webinar will take stock of how the election requires us to recommit ourselves
to rebuilding refugee resettlement-whether Donald Trump continues as president or
Joe Biden assumes the office. Panelists will take stock of the humanitarian, strategic,
and economic importance of resettlement. They will examine the global needs, the
impacts on resettlement of the Trump administration, and the refugee populations
supported by it, such as people fleeing religious persecution. Panelists will consider
additional groups the U.S. may be drawn to resettle, such as refugees from Hong
Kong or Venezuela. The panel will conclude by exploring how to strengthen the visibility
of refugee contributions to local communities and economies and to strengthen the
pro refugee voices of refugees, local communities of welcome, and state and local
leaders.
Panelists:

* Matthew Wilch, Refugee Policy Advisor, USCCB/MRS [[link removed]],
Moderator
* Barbara Strack, Former Chief, Refugee Affairs Division, Department of Homeland
Security
* Charles Shipman, State Refugee Coordinator, State of Arizona
* Rachel Pollock, Director of Resettlement, USCCB/MRS [[link removed]]
We look forward to you joining us!
