John,

Earlier this year, you called on Senator Mitch McConnell to protect innocent lives from gun violence and pass the Violence Against Women Act. Today, we're reaching out to explain how McConnell is again blocking improvements to our democracy, and what we can do to stop him.

Special Counsel Robert Mueller warned in his report that Russia's calculated attack on our 2016 election will happen again in 2020 if Congress doesn't take immediate action. There is undeniable proof that Russia targeted election systems in all 50 states, but "Moscow Mitch" is stonewalling every election security bill Democrats have sent to the Senate.

John, fair elections are the cornerstone of our democracy, which is why Democrats like Suzan are working to ensure the 2020 election is secure from foreign interference.

We can't let "Moscow Mitch" enable foreign hackers -- there is too much at stake in 2020. Stand with Suzan DelBene in the fight for our democracy and call on Senator McConnell to fund election security NOW.

The cyberattacks that took place in 2016 are just a preview of what's to come in 2020 if Senator McConnell refuses to face the facts.

In his last congressional testimony, Mueller said Russia's hack wasn't a "single attempt." He said, "they're doing it as we sit here and they expect to do it in the next campaign."

Mueller's words must be a call to action to every member of Congress to take these threats seriously and protect our elections. Join Suzan DelBene in calling on Senator McConnell to put political differences aside and protect our democracy today.

We have to do all we can, John, to ensure every vote counts in 2020.

Thank you,

Team DelBene
