In 2018, Georgia was a state coveted by the progressive left. As a result, they put forward hyper-liberal Stacey Abrams as a candidate for governor. Early on, through your generous support, we endorsed and supported Brian Kemp—a strong pro-life Christian conservative who was a long-shot in the primary.
As a result of your support, we targeted hundreds of thousands of voters across the state, helping Kemp achieve record turnout numbers. He ultimately prevailed in this governor’s race by nearly 55,000 votes—even though Abrams never conceded and marshaled a number of lawsuits to try to steal the election. We were also able to secure several conservative seats in the state House and Senate—many of which are occupied by the pro-family men and women whom you helped train through your support of Family Policy Foundation's Statesmen Academy!

This past legislative term, Georgia became a leading state to pass Heartbeat legislation, a law signed by Governor Kemp which prohibits taking the life of a preborn child once a heartbeat is detected—usually around 6 weeks into a pregnancy.
Georgia now has momentum to pass legislation to advance homeschooling rights in education, religious liberty advances to ensure the Gospel can be publicly proclaimed and protections for parental rights in medical care for their children.
