Legislators are heading to Tallahassee ... are you ready?

Dear John,

As someone who cares deeply about public education issues, we wanted to give you a “heads-up” that next week (September 16) the Florida House [link removed] and Senate [link removed] return to Tallahassee to meet in pre-session committees. 

FEA has many resources available to help you stay connected and informed about the policy proposals that will be debated during committee weeks and the legislative session. Here’s a few of the things you may wish to know about:

During education committee meetings, FEA live tweets the happenings – and often we call out legislators [link removed] who are a little low on facts [link removed] and high on hyperbole. [link removed] And when they say [link removed] or do something right [link removed], we make sure you know that, too. You can follow us on Twitter [link removed].  
We also post the Twitter thread on Facebook [link removed] along with other related information and action alerts.
If you are not already receiving for Action Alert texts, just text feaactivist to 31996 to sign up- we want to let legislators know that FEA members are keeping an eye on their votes on bills important to educators during session.
Get ready for the policy debate by reading FEA’s 5 part series called Bad Policy and Low Pay: How Florida is Undermining Student Success [link removed]  - and follow the Frontline Blog [link removed] for more in-depth coverage of the top education issues being disused during the legislative session.
