Earlier this week, Donald Trump informed us through Twitter (how else?) that National Security Advisor John Bolton would be bolting the Administration. I don’t think there’s a single reasonable person in Washington who isn’t glad to see him go. At the same time, the continuing resignations of high level officials show the chaos of the Trump Administration.

Bolton's contributions to Trump’s hawkish foreign policy agenda were terrible. Under Bolton’s tenure, he was responsible for bringing the United States to the brink of war with Iran, escalating tensions with North Korea, and prolonging our 17-year-long war in Afghanistan. Bolton wasn’t advising on our national security -- he was threatening it. But the fact is: Trump is even more dangerous.

Do you remember when Trump wanted to use nukes to stop hurricanes? Well I do, and we're lucky there were career national security experts in the room who were able to convince him that it was a very, very bad idea.
