The Republican Senate rushed the process and broke their own precedent to ensure Amy Coney Barrett will be on the Supreme Court to rule on election disputes.

Then, breaking with tradition, Amy Coney Barrett allowed herself to be used in a campaign video for Donald Trump.

On the same day, the Supreme Court blocked Wisconsin from counting mail-in ballots received after Election Day, thereby disenfranchising thousands of lawfully cast ballots. Justice Kavanaugh’s opinion echoes President Trump’s rhetoric, complaining that late-arriving ballots create the perception of a “rigged election.”

I want you to know that you can count on me to continue to protect our values and defend our democracy. In a moment I am going to ask for your support — let me explain why.

Judge Barrett’s refusal to answer questions on the Affordable Care Act and recuse herself from cases impacting the upcoming election is troubling.

On November 10th, exactly one week after the election, I will stand with a coalition of attorneys general and defend the Affordable Care Act in front of the Supreme Court.

I have been fighting to protect Obamacare and reproductive choice for eight years. I will not stop, but I need your support.

If the legal challenge to Obamacare from President Trump and the Republican attorneys general is successful, hundreds of thousands of Washingtonians and Americans with pre-existing conditions could lose their access to affordable care in the middle of a pandemic.

Women and LGBTQ+ Washingtonians will lose important protections embedded in Obamacare as well.
