Last night, Republicans in the Senate voted to confirm Amy Coney Barrett to the United States Supreme Court. After refusing since May to negotiate in good faith on relief for the American people in the midst of COVID-19, Mitch McConnell and Senate Republicans pushed this sham confirmation through in under a month.
It has never been more important that Democrats take back control of the Senate. The stakes couldn’t be higher: healthcare access for millions of Americans is now at risk, along with our bodily autonomy, our right to marriage equality, our sacred right to vote, our right to livable wages, and countless other protections.
