San Antonio City Council Sued Under Save Chick-fil-A Law

This week, Texas Values joined a press conference with citizens of the City of San Antonio, Bexar County, and Comal County who have filed a lawsuit against the San Antonio City Council under the Save Chick-fil-A Religious Freedom Law. According to the plaintiffs, the lawsuit asks the Court to enjoin the city from allowing any vendor other than Chick-fil-A to operate in the space that had been reserved for Chick-fil-A in the original concession agreement with the city.

Jonathan Saenz, president and attorney of Texas Values, stated, “If you thought we were bluffing, now you know we’re not. This is just one of many lawsuits that we expect to be filed against the San Antonio City Council for their illegal ban of Chick-fil-A.” Texas Values recently launched a new state-wide campaign to educate Texans on the Save Chick-fil-A Religious Freedom Law at SaveChickfilA.com.

Texas Values testified against the amendment at a recent Austin City Council meeting. It is appalling the City of Austin doubled-down on its policies to ‘save the trees, kill the children.’ This budget amendment, hailed by pro-abortionists as the first of its kind in the nation, is a political stunt attempting to circumvent the law.
